From Ghatkopar West to Ghatkopar East
i-Smile Dental Clinic opened in Ghatkopar West in 2012. For its first years the practice was on the west side of the station, and many of the families who found us then are still with us. The clinic later moved across the tracks to Sapphire Business Annexe near Rajawadi Signal on M.G. Road, Ghatkopar East, behind Sejal Jewellers, and that is where Dr. Upasana Gosalia practises today.
If you live or work in Ghatkopar West, very little has changed in practice. The clinic is about 1.5 km away, a 5–10 minute auto ride, or a short walk from the East exit of Ghatkopar station. Patients from Bhatwadi, the LBS Marg side and the lanes around R City Mall still come across for check-ups, cleanings and longer treatments.
Why people from the West cross over
Evening hours. The clinic is open Monday to Saturday from 9 am to 9 pm, so you can come after work or after the school run without taking leave. Sunday hours are 10 am to 6 pm.
One dentist for the whole family. Dr. Upasana has been practising since 2009 and sees children, working adults and grandparents. Fillings, root canals, aligners and implants are handled under one roof, so you are not sent to a different clinic for each thing.
Transparent pricing. A consultation costs ₹350 and is adjusted against treatment on the same visit. Every treatment has a typical price range that is shared openly, and you get an exact quote after the examination, before any work starts. A scaling and polishing, for example, is ₹1,500 to ₹2,500, and a single-visit root canal ₹5,000 to ₹9,000 per tooth.

What to expect on your first visit
Book by phone or WhatsApp and mention if anything is hurting, so enough time is kept aside. Dr. Upasana will ask about the problem and your general health, examine your teeth and gums, and take a digital X-ray if it will change the advice. Digital X-rays use far less radiation than film, and an intraoral camera lets you see on a screen exactly what she sees.
You then get a plain explanation of what is going on, the options, and what each would cost. If you have come in with pain, the pain is dealt with first. Simple things such as a cleaning or a small filling can often be done the same day. Bigger decisions, such as implants or aligners, are never rushed; take the plan home and come back when you are ready.
Long-time patients from Ghatkopar West sometimes tell us they put off finding a new dentist after the move. There is no need. The clinic is a short ride away, and the same dentist is at the chair.
