One stop down the line
Vidyavihar and Ghatkopar sit next to each other on the Central line, and the two localities blur into one another along LBS Marg on the west side and around the Somaiya campus on the east. For most people in Vidyavihar, a dental clinic in Ghatkopar East is as easy to reach as anything closer to home.
i-Smile Dental Clinic is at 103, Sapphire Business Annexe, near Rajawadi Signal on M.G. Road, Ghatkopar East, behind Sejal Jewellers. From Vidyavihar it is about 2 km, a 10–15 minute auto ride, or a single stop on the train followed by a short walk from the East exit of Ghatkopar station. The clinic was founded in 2012 in Ghatkopar West and later moved to Ghatkopar East.
Why Vidyavihar families and students come to i-Smile
Hours that fit around college and work. The clinic is open Monday to Saturday from 9 am to 9 pm. Students from the Somaiya colleges can come after lectures, and working people after office, without asking for time off. Sunday hours are 10 am to 6 pm.
One dentist, every age. Dr. Upasana Gosalia has been practising since 2009. She sees children who need a filling, teenagers and students asking about braces or aligners, adults with a wisdom tooth playing up, and parents and grandparents who need crowns or implants.
Prices you can see before you commit. The consultation is ₹350 and is adjusted against treatment on the same visit. Typical ranges are shared openly: a scaling and polishing is ₹1,500 to ₹2,500, metal braces ₹35,000 to ₹60,000, and Indian aligner brands ₹65,000 to ₹1,20,000. Braces and aligners can be paid in monthly instalments. You get an exact quote after the examination, not after the work.
Reviews you can read. i-Smile is rated 4.9 on Google and 5.0 from over 700 reviews on Practo.
What to expect on your first visit
Book by phone or WhatsApp. If you are in pain, say so, and the earliest possible slot is kept for you. On arrival Dr. Upasana asks about the problem and your general health, examines your teeth and gums, and takes a digital X-ray if it will change the advice. Digital X-rays use far less radiation than film, and an intraoral camera lets you see what she sees on a screen.
Then you get a plain-English summary: what is happening, what your options are, what each costs, and what happens if you wait. Small things such as a cleaning or a filling can usually be done in the same sitting. For braces, aligners or wisdom tooth removal, the first visit is about assessment and planning, and you leave with a clear picture of what would happen next and when.
Vidyavihar to Rajawadi Signal is a short trip. If you have been putting off a check-up because the clinic seemed far, it is closer than you think.
